Network Engineer
Responsibilities
- Provides technical guidance and support to members and identifies opportunities to sell Member IT services
- Monitors networking helpdesk and ensure tickets are assigned, owned, and resolved as quickly as possible within SLA
- Provides networking technical support
- Coordinate and partner with the Operations team to troubleshoot and resolution of LAN and Wireless Network issues
- Coordinate and partner with Real Estate to prepare for the opening of new locations and provision of network deployment
- Coordinate and partner with ISP and related hardware vendors to ensure services are delivered according to standard
- Onsite installation, configuration, and testing of network infrastructure equipment for new locations opening and expansion
- Responsible for the creation and maintenance of technical documentation to ensure it is updated and current
- Have a thorough understanding of LAN, layer 2 switching, data security, DNS, IP routing, HTTP, VPN, and email routing
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems
- 3-5 years of corporate experience (installation, configuration, and support)
- Hands-on experience with networking troubleshooting experience required
- Ability to manage multiple, often competing for priorities and tasks, and follow through to completion on a strict deadline
- Ability to use discretion and judgment in evaluating problems and creating solutions for members
- Friendly presence and helpful attitude
- Ability to work late hours as needed during site build-outs or maintenance
- Technical analytical and interpersonal skills required
- Experience in network performance tuning, LAN knowledge, network design, and implementation
