Network Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provides technical guidance and support to members and identifies opportunities to sell Member IT services
• Monitors networking helpdesk and ensure tickets are assigned, owned, and resolved as quickly as possible within SLA
• Provides networking technical support
• Coordinate and partner with the Operations team to troubleshoot and resolution of LAN and Wireless Network issues
• Coordinate and partner with Real Estate to prepare for the opening of new locations and provision of network deployment
• Coordinate and partner with ISP and related hardware vendors to ensure services are delivered according to standard
• Onsite installation, configuration, and testing of network infrastructure equipment for new locations opening and expansion
• Responsible for the creation and maintenance of technical documentation to ensure it is updated and current
• Have a thorough understanding of LAN, layer 2 switching, data security, DNS, IP routing, HTTP, VPN, and email routing

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems
• 3-5 years of corporate experience (installation, configuration, and support)
• Hands-on experience with networking troubleshooting experience required
• Ability to manage multiple, often competing for priorities and tasks, and follow through to completion on a strict deadline
• Ability to use discretion and judgment in evaluating problems and creating solutions for members
• Friendly presence and helpful attitude
• Ability to work late hours as needed during site build-outs or maintenance
• Technical analytical and interpersonal skills required
• Experience in network performance tuning, LAN knowledge, network design, and implementation
